SubscriberHi,
I'm currently trying to simulate a tunnel fire, the mesh and geometry are as they should be and as far as i can tell there shouldnt be any problems with the models I am using, but I cannot get the fuel to ignite. I am trying to use spark ignition to give an accurate point of ignition. Below are the models i used. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Forum ModeratorHave you checked AFR in the fuel supply region? As an aside, what is the objective of your model? nMarch 2, 2021 at 5:06 pmJohnCooper123
SubscriberThe objective of the model is simply to analyse a tunnel fire and i just checked the afr but now there is an error message.nAnsys.Fluent.Cortex.CortexCommandFailedException: An error occurred in FLUENT when initializng the flownAn error occurred in FLUENT when initializng the flown  at Ansys.Fluent.Cortex.CortexCommunicator.SendMessage(String msg, String msgKey, String errorMessage, Boolean waitForReply)n  at Ansys.Fluent.FluentCommunicator.Initialize()n  at Ansys.Fluent.Data.SolutionData.InitializeOrLoadCurrentData(IProtectedContext context)n  at Ansys.Fluent.Data.SolutionData.LoadFiles(IFullContext context)n  at Ansys.Fluent.Data.SolutionData.LaunchFluentAndRead(IFullContext context, Boolean batchMode, Boolean internallyStarted)n  at Ansys.Fluent.Commands.EditCommand.Execute(IFullContext context)n  at Ansys.Core.Commands.Concurrency.CommandWorkUnit.executeInContext(CommandContext subContext, IExecutionEngineCallback tracer)n  at Ansys.Core.Commands.Concurrency.BaseWorkUnit.doExecute(IExecutionEngineCallback executionEngine, CommandContext subContext)n  at Ansys.Core.Commands.Concurrency.BaseWorkUnit.Execute(IExecutionEngineCallback executionEngine, Boolean dontCatchExceptions)n--- Ansys.Core.Commands.CommandFailedException: An error occurred in FLUENT when initializng the flownAn error occurred in FLUENT when initializng the flownCommandName: Fluent.Edit(Container=Solution)n  at Ansys.Core.Commands.CommandAsyncResult.RethrowFailureException(Exception e)n  at Ansys.Core.Commands.CommandAsyncResult.Wait(Int32 milliSecondsTimeout, Boolean exitContext)n  at Ansys.Fluent.Commands.EditCommand.InvokeAndWait(IProtectedContext context, DataContainerReference Container, Boolean Interactive)n  at Ansys.Fluent.Gui.GuiUtilities.GetLauncherSettingsAndEdit(GuiOperationContext operationContext, DataContainerReference cref, LauncherEditMode editMode)n  at Ansys.Fluent.Gui.OpenInFluentGui.Invoke(GuiOperationContext context)n  at Ansys.UI.GuiOperationContext.Invoke(GuiOperationMetaData operationData)n  at Ansys.UI.UIManager.InvokeOperationCore(String pseudoname, OperationDelegate callback, Boolean allowOSMessages, Boolean coreTransaction, Boolean deferredRefreshOnly)nnMarch 3, 2021 at 6:50 pmJohnCooper123

with regards to the afr, I have calculated the stoichiometric A/F ratio and have input the values but it says that a unity sum is required. What else should i include in the fuel section?nCurrently using c12h23 with a mass fraction of 0.06825 nMarch 4, 2021 at 10:27 amAmine Ben Hadj Ali
