SubscriberHi,I am designing a PCB antenna which I imported from my Cadence .brd file. I am using Anysys 19.2 Electronics desktop to import the file and run a simulation, but I am seeing a Meshing error when I perform validation check HFSS coax port . must be wholly contained within a metalnnPlease helpnThanksnAbhisheknn -

Ansys Employee,nThis error shows that the way you have defined the port (C92.2.ANTENNA) is not correct. You might need to re-define it properly and check.nIt might be because of the material definition of the two conductors inside your model that connects the port. Or, it could be the improper connection between these terminals.nPlease analyze the connection & material details around this port. That might help!nnBest Regards,n -

SubscriberHi Rtk,nnThanks for your response.nI dont have any coax port in my design, I suppose HFSS integrates a virtual coax port just as to simulate as a probe connection to the the Network Analyzer (I guess).nHow/where do I define this coax port ? nAlso the material definition is from the stack-up of the PCB design file, which is 1oz copper for all the 4 conducting layers in the PCB. Antenna and Ground net are the only two nets I should be interested in as I run analysis for S11 , gain and bandwidth.nDo I need to specify anything else here for material, if yes, then how or where ?nPS: Pardon my lack of EDT/ HFSS skills as I am apparently new to this and been following various Ansys youtube videos to reach out even at this stage of the task.nnThanksnAbhishekn
