SubscriberHello, nI am currently using a multiphase flow simulation in ANSYS FLUENT using interfacial area transport equations inside of a 3D rectangular duct geometry. I was trying to use a simplified model and system and writing the k and epsilon profile to a .prof file from this simplified system. I would then read this profile in a more complicated simulation to provide an initial profile for k and epsilon. nHowever, whenever I tried to set fixed value conditions under the Fluid section in the Cell Zone Conditions tab and close the tab, this error pops up:nError:wta(1st) to string_length nError Object:#fnAfterwards, I can no longer open the Fluid section and when I access the Phase and Phase Interaction tabs for the Model section, none of the information shows up. They appear as blank pages where the phase data and phase interaction models used to be. Interestingly, I can still run calculations even though I can't access some of this information. nDo you have any clue as to why this happens and how I can fix this error? Thanks for any help you can provide!nSincerely,nDannyn -

Ansys EmployeeFor that you might use the option interpolation file writing and reading under File.n -

SubscriberHello, nI've tried that and the interpolation file gets written, but this error keeps popping up whenever I try to read the file in the more complicated simulation: nError: eval: unbound variablenError Object: fnnI'm writing data for k and epsilon into the same file. This error happens when I write binary files or without the binary files options. Do you have any idea what this error means? nThank you for the help! nDannyn -

Forum ModeratorProfile is from a boundary, which is commonly used. Interpolation is used to given an initial guess for the solver. FIX function is to use a value (variable or otherwise) and overwrites what the solver wants in that cell: use with extreme caution and a very good understanding of the implications. n -

SubscriberHello, nOkay, it seems that the interpolation profile method was not a good way for me to approach my problem. nThank you for the help! nSincerely, nDannyn
