SubscriberHi everyone, in Ansys forte, the knot that appears on the screen is formed when meshing the combustion chamber. I just couldn't fix it. Can anyone help?

Ansys EmployeeHi Halil:nIt looks like the bowl profile may be entered with the points backwards (at least according to the message in red that I see). nAlso, the mesh control points are all set at a fraction of 1.0. These control directly the mesh quality. Repositioning should fix mesh quality issues. Current control point locations can be viewed by zooming into the mesh in the bowl (see black dots):n
Once you have this view, you can change the control point locations and click Apply in the Mesh Parameters form to see an update of the locations. nOnce you regenerate the mesh, an improvement (or worsening) of the mesh corresponding to the new control points occurs.n
The optimum location for the control points depends on the bowl profile that is provided and the topology that is used. Here, you can see that several mesh quality issues exist because of poor control point placement. Also, there are some abrupt cell size jumps in the mesh, so certain sections need more nodes, and some need fewer.nClicking Show Topology will show you where each of the cell counts in the input table applies, and approximate locations for placing control points:nn
When we mimic this placement and cell count ratios with our mesh, element quality and mesh transitions improve:n
