      Hi

We are using a cylinder magnet with diametral magnetization.

Hi,nwe use ANSYS Electromagnetics Suite 17.1.0. formerly known as ANSYS MAXWELL.nRegards,nFrankn

why not dividing it into 2 objects, magnetized differently?n

Hi AndyJP,nsorry I can't image your suggestion.nI just know how to set the magnetization direction into x, y or z.nBut how can I add an angle to the any of these directions.nn

Hi,nYou can try defining them as follows.nFor perfect anisotropic separation you can directly create a face coordinate system on the top of cylindrical face and assign magnetization with reference to that.nFor 8 deg. magnetization error, model your magnet as two half cylindrical magnets(with 8 deg deviation) and define face coordinate system for each and assign magnetization with reference to respective coordinate systems.nnRegardsnNavya.n

the material coercitivity is given in XYZ coordinates. Create two materials with different coercitivity vectors. Apply to different parts of the magnet (separate objects)n
