SubscriberIs it possible to extract acoustic( noise data) from steady state CFD simulation using fluent, As the aeroacoustics are time dependent should I run transient or steady state will also works.Any suggestions ?nmy case : axial Fan running in (steady state conditions )n -

Ansys EmployeeHello, nWhen dealing with fan noise, one of the main characteristics of the acoustic signal would be the blade passing frequency and its harmonics. In order to capture that phenomenon in the acoustic data you would need to run a transient simulation. nIt is possible to approximate noise data from steady RANS using Broadband noise source models, but only when broadband noise is relevant and the scope of the analysis is just a preliminary screening of different designs. However this would not be a correct analysis for your specific case. n
