orthotropic material properties of sinusoidal corrugated steel

Hello everyone,nI want to modell a corrugated steel pipe in Ansys as a simple cylinder with orthotropic properties. I started modelling a simple plate and I found Ex, Ey and Gxy, exy, with formulas from literature and I put these values in ansys to than compare the thin plate (with orthotropic properties) and the corrugated plate. My problem is that to modell a cylinder I need other values such as Ez, shear modulus Gyz Gxz and Poison?s ratio eyz ,exz. I know that it has not so much to do with Ansys but I dont know how to find this from Literature and to apply it in Ansys. Or Should I try different values to see which is more relevant to approach the solution of a corrugated cylinder. If anyone has had the same issue or has knowledge in this direction I would be happy of every advice! Many thanks in advance!n

Hi,nYou can find an example of orthotropic material with parameters in ANSYS Help.nArraynYou can also find it in Ansys Help by Mechanical APDL Technology Demonstration Guide: CHAPTER 29: ROCKET NOZZLE EXTENSION SIMULATION: OPERATIONnnNote that for orthotropic material, there's a relationship between Young's modulus and poisson's ration.u_yz/E_y = nu_xy/E_x, nu_zx/E_z = nu_xz/E_x, nu_yz/E_y = nu_zy/E_z, Search keyword orthotropic poisson's ratio can give you some details.nnAlso, if your material is transversely isotropic, it put some restriction on the poisson's ratio and sear modulus.u_xy/E_x = nu_yx/E_y, nu_yz= nu_zy, G_yz = E_y/2/(1+nu_yz, search keyword "transversely isotropic materials" will give you some details. n
