ANSYSLI exited or could not read server port ANSYSLI_DEMO_PORT

      I have installed Ansys AIN. I am not able to open it, ANSYSLI exited or could not read server port ANSYSLI_DEMO_PORT error shows up.


      Please help me.

      When do you see this error message ?


      Go to this folder 


      %appdata%ANSYS  


      and post the screenshot of files under here.


      You can also try renaming this folder to anything else and see if that helps.

      I uninstalled it and installed again still the same problem nn

      ok this issue is solved nthe host name of my pc was in a different language ni changed the host name to english, and the software is installed but some icon appear in grey colour instead of yellow color icon of workbench nwhile installing the setup icon is also in grey colour.nn

      Yes, the installer icon is grey in color. This is normal. As long as your software is installed properly, you should be good. nThanks.nKarthikn

      This is from Ansys student FAQs... Resolved my problem of ANSYSLI_DEMO_PORT. (P.S.- I faced this issue for Ansys student 2019R1, 2019R3, 2020R2. However solution works well for all the versions).nLink to FAQ- student-faq.pdf (ansys.com)nn
