Reccomendation on P-Core Usage

      Hi all,

I am a regular user of Maxwell who runs models that can become quite heavy. Recently, I have come across some discussion online that indicates heavier models can achieve faster run times by only using the P-cores on an Intel hybrid processor as opposed to using both the processor's P- and E-cores. Does Ansys agree with this analysis in part or in whole? I have not seen a distinction drawn between P-cores and E-cores in the Ansys HPC literature I have read, so I was curious if Ansys has any guidance on this.

      Thank you,

      Davis

P-cores offer an advantage in terms of analysis time; however, you must disable Hyper-Threading when using them. Our products do not support Hyper-Threading.
