SubscriberHello, I was just posting this for some guidance on how to properly mesh this fluid domain? I'm trying to see how fluid acts when flowing through it, and I tried a lot of different methods but I'm met with so many errors.
The channel length is ~1m and the width was originally 50mm with a sinusoidal bottom face, and I cut the channel in half to reduce node sizes (planning to do a symmetry face in Fluent)
Also, since this is the fluid domain, would inflation layers still need to be added on the faces? Any help is greatly appreciated!

SubscriberYou didn't mention if this is laminar or turbulent flow. Have you calculated a Reynolds number? You need to answer that before you get advice on inflation layers.
You posted in the Ansys Free Student Software channel, but the Fluids experts are reading posts in the Fluids channel. I suggest you move your question to that channel.

Forum ModeratorThere's also the option of 2d depending on need and whether you're moving onto solve in Fluent.Â
