Ansys EmployeeHi Roberto
Just to make sure - are you using Workbench (25R2 runs 14.1 I think by default so how do you run 16.1 - also whcih Uni are these licences from?)
For the error - try please to set the enviromental variable called LSTC_LICENSE -> to Ansys.
All the best

SubscriberThanks.
1) University of Bath, UK
2) LSdyna 16.1.1 was downloaded separately
3) Using Ansys2025R2
Â
I am using
export LSTC_LICENSE_FILE=network
export LSTC_LICENSE_SERVER=1055@ansyslm.campus.bath.ac.uk
export LSTC_LICENSE=ansys

Hi
Since using ANSYS SLM we need to use these two only:
export LSTC_LICENSE=ansys
export ANSYSLMD_LICENSE_FILE=1055@ansyslm.campus.bath.ac.uk
Out of interest is it battery model. you are performing with LS-Dyna or?
All the best

Ansys EmployeeÂ
We hope other forum members say from Academia can provide their feedback (non Ansys mem.).Â
In the meantime can you provide some info on the type of licence, if you are using LS-Dyna via workbench or standalone that would help non Ansys forum members especially from academia/Unis to provide some feedback to you.
Good luck
ErkoÂ

Ansys EmployeeSo, you can run the default solver (14.1) without any issues? I recall a case where a similar thing happened, and it was resolved by upgrading the license manager to 2026R1 version!
Best,
Nanda
