A solid element doesn’t detect beam elements when impacted

      Hello everyone.
      I'm simulating a solid object impacting a mesh of beam elements in LS-Dyna ACT (Workbench).
      I've used different contact types, but the solid cylinder doesn't detect the mesh.
      I've tried both standard contact and the NODES TO SURFACE map. Neither helps. I've also tried different SECTIONS for the solid and beam elements.

      Please tell me what to do?

      Hello Javat,

      Please use CONTACT_AUTOMATIC_BEAMS_TO_SURFACE , and use part Ids for slave and master side, this should work.
