Redhat version of LS-DYNA

      Hi,

I’ve been trying to run LS-DYNA on a cluster that uses Red Hat 9 with the latest versions of Intel and OpenMPI. However, the only builds I can find are CentOS versions, which were compiled with older versions of both Intel and OpenMPI.

Is it possible to get an LS-DYNA build for Red Hat, preferably compiled with a newer version of Intel or OpenMPI?

      Thanks,

The executables with "centos" in the filename can be used on any (recent) Linux system.

Please see here (https://www.ansys.com/content/dam/it-solutions/platform-support/2025-r2/ansys-2025-r2-platform-support-by-application.pdf). Current LS-DYNA solvers, compiled on CentOS 7.9, are supported for RHEL 9.4.

Thank you for your response. I am still getting an error regarding the mpi mismatch. Our cluster has intelmpi/2021.15.495, which seems to be incompatible with the current LS-DYNA solvers built on 2018 version. Is there a way I can get a version of LS-DYNA built on intelmpi 2021 or is it possible to do it with object version of LS-DYNA?

Hello, we may need some more information to resolve this issue. Could you please let me know the ls-dyna executable (full name) and the command/script you're using to run the job? Do you have access to Intel MPI 2021.10 or older?

Could you please try runing the dev build compiled using RHEL8 located here: ls-dyna_mpp_d_DEV-120266-gc373fe9652_x8664_rhel810_ifort190_sse2_intelmpi-2018.tgz ? Let me know if it worked. I just tried this build on RHEL 9.6 using Intel MPI 2021.15 and it worked. My job command is shown below. If this works for you, I can send you R16 impi build compiled on RHEL 8.
