SubscriberHi,
i made a simulation in LS-Dyna and i want to save the result from it to a Dynain-file. Is there a way to use this dynain file in Ansys Workbench or Mechanical AND add some other geometry (step-files). I know i can import keyword-files in workbench but i need to import some step-files additionally.

SubscriberHello, you can use *include and *case commands to run sequential ls-dyna jobs using dynain files and each subsequent case you can activate new geometries by *including the mesh, node and sets and then call those sets in the master file into specific commands like contact boundary_prescribed_... etc.  If you can describe in greater detail what you hope to accomplish, I can maybe make an example. Â
the closest thing I've made is this part 2 of the wear analysis where I imported the worn geometry back to the original model to run a second set of wear cycles.  What I imported is a dynain.geo file which is similar to what you may want to import, but a new k file representing the newly added step files. Â
I hope this helps in someway
