Simulation SRG with Lumerical and Zemax OpticStudio

  I first used Lumerical to perform an RCWA simulation on an SRG grating, optimizing for high diffraction efficiency in the –1st order. Using a script from the example library, I exported the results as a JSON file. I then imported this file into Zemax for subsequent optical‐path simulation, but in Zemax all the rays are simply transmitted with no deflection, whereas in normal operation they should be deflected. Where might the problem lie? I’m using version 2025R1—could using a lower‐version DLL cause this issue? Please help me list the possible causes of the error.

  Which operating system and version are you running on? Which release / version of Lumerical are you using? Please send a screenshot of the Lumerical CAD > Help > About .. page – which provides these information (similar to the image here).
