SubscriberIm trying to import a .Cat part but am met with a "no licenses are available for CATIA V5 import". How can i get the appropriate licenses for this? im a student running Mechanical APDL 2020 R1.Â
I was able to import an iges file but the geometry was not correct. Error said "in surface tessellation for area.. This are can only be displayed with/FACET,WIRE and cannot be part of a V,VA,VSUM, or ASUM operation. -

Ansys EmployeeCatia file import is not included in the ANSYS Student (free) version.
You can check
https://www.ansys.com/academic/free-student-products
select the package and look at 'What's Included' to see the list of what you get from the package.
