SubscriberHi all,
I hope you all are well. So, I've been having some issues with validating my simulations with the experiments I'm conducting. Let's say my system is basically a pipe with multiple outlets, and the flow is laminar. I've been using some different fluids in order to observe the effect of viscosity. Boundary conditions are the usual, incompressible flow, steady flow, velocity-inlet and pressure outlets. I've set up a system in the lab that is similar to the simulations, and I've been using outflow distribution to validate the results. Thing is, for water as fluid (often considered inviscid) I got good agreement of simulation data and experimental data. However, as viscosity increases (a 50% solution of glycerin and water for example) the data deviates more and more, and the distribution of outflow heavily benefits the outlet closest to the inlet on the simulations. I've run the simulations with Viscous Heating on and off, and it did not cause a significant difference. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can fine tune in Fluent to improve data agreement?
Thanks a bunch yall, have a great day.

Ansys EmployeeHello,
How is the mesh? Did you carry out grid independence test?
