Hi, 

I am not getting the modes as described in the edge coupler example. Hence the mode overlap is only 0.2. 

How can I obtain the same overlap and modes as described in the example detail. I did not change anything in the file. I am just running the files as described.

Dear Subscriber,

It seems you were not able to find the taper modes as described in the article.

When you open the unmodified file, try searching for the taper modes first, and then for the fiber modes.
Make sure you are able to obtain the results as shown in the screenshot in the article.

Hi Kirill,

I am experiencing the same issue from the unmodified example files. The taper mode shown in the example is not found by the FDE solver, even if the search is performed near n~1.44 and >20 trial modes are used.

Please start a new thread and include screenshots, along with information about your Lumerical version and your hardware, especially the CPU model.
