      Hello, 

      I am conducting a hypervelocity impact investigation and I am looking at the best way to measure the diameter of a impact. The impactor has penetrated a 5mm thick plate where both the impactor and plate are made from SPH particles. The impactor has created an irregularly shaped hole and I want to try to capture the rough diameter of the hole. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to do this?
