Hello everyone,

The IT admin at my university recently updated the HFSS software version. However, I’m not sure if this is related, but I’ve been unable to open some of my previously saved project files. Whenever I try, I get an error saying they are "not ANSYS Project files."

I also attempted to open the files using the previous version of HFSS, but the issue persists. I can’t access my saved projects, let alone the simulated results.

I’ve attached a few error screenshots for reference. Could anyone please help me identify the cause or provide a solution?

Please let us know the following to help us serve you better:

1. Do you remember in which AEDT version the mentioned projects were saved previously and in which version you tried to open?
2. Can you confirm the file extensions of the projects you tried to open?
3. It is mentionded that it is observed for some projects. Can you confirm if this issue is for only to some projects or all projects?
