How get governing equation used in ansys software for particular analysis

      Hi All,

I know how to find out magnetic repulsive force between two magnets. But I want to know which governing equation has been used during simulation to calculate the magnetic repulsive force in Ansys Maxwell. In other software like COMSOL software, the using equation can be found out easily. I hope this is possible in ANSYS Maxwell as well but I don't know the way. Hope someone will help me.

      Dear Sir,

I designed flux reversal machine ANSYS Maxwell's software, I got magnetostatic Ansys and unable to get the transient ANSYS and the error show the 3dts machine termination. Please suggest me how to solve this

Hi Raju,  The Maxwell help document says that we use the Virtual Work calculation for Forces.  The details can be found in a couple reference papers:

"Application of Shell Element Method to 3-D Finite Element Computation of the Force on One Body in Contact with Others", Weinong Fu, SL Ho, N Chen, IEEE Trans on Magnetics, Dec 2010

"Magnetic Force Computation in Permanent Magnets Using a Local Energy Coordinate Derivative Method", Weinong Fu, P Zhou, D Lin, S Stanton, IEEE Trans on Magnetics, April 2004.
