Hello everyone, I am reaching out to request assistance with installing the Ansys Maxwell R2 2024 Student Version.

I downloaded the Ansys Electronics Desktop Student Version from Ansys Electronics Desktop Student Version | Free Software Download and followed the installation steps outlined there. After downloading the folder and providing the necessary inputs, I successfully ran the setup.exe file. However, upon opening the installed applications, I encountered an error that I have been unable to resolve.

 

I have attached a screenshot of the error for your reference. Despite checking forums and online communities for a solution, I couldn't seem to find a resolution.

I kindly request a step-by-step walkthrough to help resolve this issue. I'm new to working with engineering software and all of this seems overwhelming to me and your guidance would be invaluable as I am keen to proceed with the Ansys Maxwell Introduction - Magnetostatics course to use the software.

 

Additionally, I would greatly appreciate any recommendations for the best resources to learn Ansys Maxwell, particularly for designing and testing electrical generators in electromechanical conversion systems.

Hello, I would first uninstall.

Then rename c:\Program files\Ansys Inc\AnsysEM to Ansys EM.old

Then make sure all prerequisites are installed.

Then install Electronics from the fully extracted download by right-clicking on setup.exe and choosing "run as administrator"
