SubscriberHello Everyone,
I am trying to simulate the heat exchange problem in the Ansys Fluent. Refrigerant is flowing at -40 deg Celcius with a velocity of x m/s in a metal pipe placed in a chamber with 0.005 torr pressure (vacuum). I want to study the heat exchange due to conduction at pipe body, convection and radiation. Please guide me through the whole procedure. Is this problem can be simulated using Fluent or should I move to any other module? I have tried simulating this problem using youtube videos but I am not sure that the procedure is correct. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Forum ModeratorCheck you're still in the continuum phase for the vacuum chamber. It's all possible in Fluent, but if you're not seeing flow in the vacuum chamber, and don't care about the pipe flow Mechanical (Thermal) may be a better choice.

SubscriberGreat. Can you please share some step by step guide for both the modules. It would be really helpful.
