How to select ‘select mesh’ and select geometry’ in latest R2 version

I am new to ANSYS and I was unable to find how to do this 'select geometry' and 'select mesh' operation in the R2 version. What does the operation [Update selected parts-> Update: Use geometry parameter values] do and how to undo it if I selected it by mistake. Can someone please give me an answer asap. Thanks in advance.

What are you trying to do when you want to 'select geometry' and 'select mesh'?  There are geometry filters such as point, edge, face and body that can select geometry based on the filter setting and if there is a mesh, there are filters for node, element face, element for selecting FE entities.  Is that what you mean?

I think the "smart select" is the equivalent option in the new version (I'm doing the same EdX course!)
