SubscriberI am Conducting a WIG welding simulation in Transient Thermal to get temperature as a result and getting it approx 1300 degree Celsius which is fine. Now this result is imported as load in Transient Structural to calculate Residual Stress using mechanical boundary condition as fixed support. The result are not upto the mark as I am getting very high stress.Â
Please Help.

Ansys EmployeeAre you assigning the weld body a "Reference Temperature" of 1300 degC in the Details for the body? That is what produces the residual stress.

SubscriberI got the Temperature as output by entering moving heat source as input and using convection and radiation as thermal boundary conditions.Â
But I got my mistake and have accurate results nowÂ
Thank You
