Hi there,
I need to analyse the nanobeam grating example's 3D results (reflective power, diffraction angles).Â
I have modified the simulation setting to 3D but the script execution shows the error in the grating order matrix (line 48). I guess it's because in 3D the orders are (M,N), however, the code only considers the N.Â
What modification or script to define for extracting the relative power/diffraction angle in different grating orders in 3D?

Thanks,
Shashank

Hello,
Thank you for your message. Just to make it clear, do you keep all the script unchanged and you modify only the DGTD simulation region from 2D to 3D?
Is this right? Because I cannot see any change on the script from the screenshot. If you have modified the script, could you please share with me lines that you have modified the script?
Furthermore, due to structure symmetry there is no way to calculate the grating orders for the y-direction. The gratingprojection command requires the period of the grating and the wave vector of the source, when the script reaches on the commands getperiodicity and getsourcedirection, there are no values to retrieve.
