Hi, I am using Ansys SIwave to simulate impedance of power plane on a PCB (PDN). There are lots of capacitors connected to that plane typically. I uploaded s parameters file of each capacitors in shunt mode. When I run syz parameter simulation, I saw in the message tab that Siwave converts those s parameters file from shunt mode to series mode. Why? Then should I upload s parameter files which is created for series mode? It is possible for some capacitor manufacturers.

You may keep the import in series mode and continue your simulations.
