SubscriberHello,
I'm looking to run a 2D EM simulation with 4 ring resonators, either on seperate or the same waveguide. The rings are all around 200 microns in radius, the waveguides are 1 micron wide, and the wavelength range is roughly 1500nm to 1650nm. Does anyone have an estimate on what hardware specifications I need to run such a simulation in a reasonable amount of time?
Any insights or advice would be greatly appreicated. Thank you.

Ansys EmployeeThere are a few WDM examples online, using INTERCONNECT. Please search AnsysOPtics with term "wdm" and find proper examples for you to refer to.
If you want to use FDTD to simulate such device, it will need a lot of memory becuase each is more then 400um, and long simulation time, since it has different resonance. You can try to set them in FDTD and do memory check without running. Never hit "run" button in such case otherwise your computer may freeze without response.
