Hello everyone,
I am simulating some coplanar waveguide designs in HFSS, and I am trying to investigate the influence of the RF probes used to measure.
Is there a way to force the mesh of two identical objects to be equal? I would like the input and output probes to be meshed equally, since their geometry is quite complex.
Whenever I could I tried setting a symmetric boundary condition, but in some design this approach is not feasible.
Thank you for your help!
Giorgio

Hello gbonomo,
Thank you for reaching out to Ansys Learning Forum!
In general, if we are talking about 3D Components (RF Probes), the mesh should be the same. I highly reccomend importing those connectors as 3D Components and utilise Mesh Fusion.
More information regarding Mesh Fusion can be draw from here:- Ansys Launches HFSS Mesh Fusion, Redefines Product Development
- Mesh Fusion: One of the Two Best Features in Ansys HFSS 2021 R1
Also, in order to extract information on how to create 3D Components, you may watch this video: ANSYS HFSS: Creating 3D Components - Ansys Knowledge
I hope this helps!
Kind regards,
Jason.
