i downloaded the Ansys student from the ansys website. ii followed the guidelines and installed the application. the installation was successful. i then restarted my computer as stated and still cannot find the application.

there is an install.err file found in my program file.

i have deleted and tried installing agian but it keeps happening again.

please help, need this software urgently.

Can you verify if Ansys Student folder present under (C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\ANSYS Student).

Share the screenshot of your install.err file.

Did you try to change the path and install it?

If you have the Ansys Student folder, here is the path to launch workbench C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\ANSYS Student\v2xx\Framework\bin\Win64\RunWB2.exe

I have the same issue as m.shankar03 and josephgerges010
Even after flollowing guidelines (administrator permissions, etc) and trying install more than once,  the applicaton doesn´t install propoerly. and there is a install.err file and is not possible to find the application to launch the workbench in the apps list.

@Rajeshwari Jadhav thanks, I tried the path C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\ANSYS Student\v2xx\Framework\bin\Win64\RunWB2.exe you mentioned,
and you are right,  there is an icon there, but doesn´t run the application.
theres is an error mesage after running that icon

Ok seems that you found the root ,
 
I´m using Windows 11 64bit, and at Requirements you are asking for Windows 10 64 bit. 
my mistake then.  could that be the problem? thought that later versions didn´t matter

Just to finally check Mr. @Rajeshwari Jadhav: my problem is the Windows 11 OS i´m currently using? or should I wait for another kind suggestion from your side?

Windows 11 is supported. do you have any other versions installed too?

I have version 11 updated from 10.
Sorry for not having any other useful info, I was interested to solve it since I saw there were more students like me with the same issue.

other option I have is install in another computer, but this one had a suitable graphic card.

Hey, I have a very similar kind of issue right now, I have installed ansys student version 2024 R2. I have run the setup file and installed it but i could not find workbench application. I have tried running RunWB2.exe file and I getting such message. I am using windows 11, 64 bit
