Hello Guys,
I am trying to mesh a symmetric enclosure with a Heat Generation. The mesh is an automatic mesh on the fluid volume and the solid bodies that are inside the enclosure I continue to get these three errors:
- error: The mesh translation to Fluent failed due to non-conformal, duplicate, or degenerate mesh elements.
- warning: All cell zones in Fluent may be automatically set to Fluid.
- warning: Some boundaries of protected topologies have been defeatured. Right-click on this message and select "Show Problematic Geometry" to see the affected edges.
I have continued trying ways to fix them, but they have come to no avail. I have found other forum posts about this error and have tried the solutions in those posts. The two solutions I have found are "make sure you share topology shared correctly" and "make sure you do not have any connections". The two questions I have in response to those solutions are:
- How do I correctly complete those two tasks
- How do I make sure that I have done them correctly
If there are other solutions and any help is appreciated.
The pictures of my problem are attached

This could be sizing issue. Please use different sizes than default.
