Hello,

For a hinge joint the default stiffness is zero around the free rotational freedom (local joint X axis). There is no formula for defining the stiffness or damping, but the Aqwa Theory Manual explains how the values are used, and also how the friction coefficients are defined: 8.1.2. Effect of Articulation Stiffness, Damping and Friction (ansys.com).
