material in inverse design

      Hi,

I am trying to use the inverse design method to optimize my structure. I imported my material file using the "importmaterialdb" command in the code. I see that the Y-branch example uses this command: `eps_in = Material(name = 'Si: non-dispersive', mesh_order = 2)` to define the permittivity of the material for the optimization section. However, I don't know how to define `eps_in` and `eps_out` for my anisotropic material. How can I determine which mesh order corresponds to the permittivity for my material?

      I appreciate your help.

      Hi Fatemeh Karami,

Which Ansys simulation tool are you using? Please post in the appropriate category/section in the Forum.

      Thank you for your response.
I am using the FDTD module in Lumerical and want to use the inverse design method to optimize a Y-branch structure. Did I choose the wrong group to post my question? Which group should I send my question to?
