I am getting divergent results each time I implement an indexed material (PEP), such as:

 

In a simulation scheme where it is implemented as a 30 nm thin film inside the following cell-like structure:

 

 

This issue is resolved once I set a fixed average index, 1.55-1.60 in this case, but it reoccurs whenever I try to use the real data of the material's index. Any idea why this is happening?
