corrupted double-linked list – bad termination

When I open a case and want to initialize on Fluent 2022R1 on our university's HPC, I always get the same error:
      "corrupted double-linked list"
after which a BAD TERMINATION error occurs
I have no idea what causes this, and how it can be solved? Any tips?

My case contains a catheter geometry embedded in a 3D artery and the goal is to run a pure, laminar blood flow simulation. No UDFs used

      Kind regards

It may be a corrupt setting from when you added the models, or could be something else - it's not an overly useful error message. Can you initialise the case on your local machine? If not, can you read in just the mesh and initialise (don't do anything other than read in the mesh)?

On my local machine there is no issue
Sometimes I can load in the mesh, but then I always get a BAD TERMINATION when initializing
When you mean corrupt setting, could you give an example so I know what to check for?

OK, so that mesh doesn't always read and always fails to initialise?

      That's right!

Read the mesh into Fluent Meshing (same launcher, use Meshing mode) and check the quality in Display>Plot>Cell Distribution   Assuming it's a tet/hex hybrid mesh look at skew and aspect ratio.  Fluent Meshing doesn't have any of the solver functions so tends not to fail if the mesh is corrupt.

Where did the artery geometry and overall mesh come from?

Thanks! I loaded in the .stl (based on medical images) in SpaceClaim, made a reconstruction of the arteries as a solid body, added the catheter in the domain as solid body, then loaded in the .scdoc in Fluent Meshing and proceeded with meshing etc. This was all done on my laptop, simulations etc. were no problem there.

The first plot is of skewness, the second of aspect ratio.

Looks good enough to not immediately fail - ie there's not a load of cells in the skew>0.99 band.

Can you initial on a local machine? Also, what is the total cell count?

      Locally there are no problems.
Mesh is around 4 million cells.

So, you can initialise & run locally but not on the cluster. If you pass case & data does that also fail? Check that any monitors are written to the local path and aren't trying to retain the path from the local machine. Otherwise, check in the logs for system errors - you may need to talk to your IT.
