Hi.
I am trying to import a step generated in Onshape file into Maxwell, but I get the following error:[error] Import Native Bodies: Translation of "xyz.step" failed. (05:29:17 PM Apr 10, 2024)
Can you please help me to identify the problem?
Thank you

Hello Luca,
Could you save as the CAD file into sat format when using 22R2 or lower version? and parasolid format for higher version?

Hi HDLI,
I encountered the same problem. I save my model as parasolid(.x_t) and still failed to import it into electronics desktop.
Seems like it's a common problem. Is there any solution?
Thank you

Hi, yes, I can produce that. The problem is that in the Modeler I see that I can import only DXF or STEP files. Is that because I am running on Ansys Electronics Desktop Student 2023 R2? Is there another solution?
Thyank you

Hi Luca,
I just solved my problem. Please make sure that your file path is 100% in ENGLISH letters. For example, simply move the file to under C:\ or F:\, whatsoever.
I am from China so many folders are named in Chinese characters. The problem solved as soon as I moved the model file to D:\.
Hopefully this will help:)
Regards.

Hi Jason.
Thank you for the suggestion, but that is not the case for me.
Best regards
Luca
