Ansys Employee/ Question
What ports need to be open in an on-premises environment? And what needs to happen if a user is working from home?Â
Â
/ Answer
Users connect to VMs deployed via Ansys Access using RDP and SSH. Therefore, the following ports must be allowed to communicate between on-premises and the customer's Azure environment where the VM is deployed. Â The same conditions apply when connecting from home.
Â
- Ports
443 (for Windows VMs)
22 (for Linux VMs)
Â
When a VM is deployed, access to the VM's public IP is not allowed. Once the connect button is clicked a security rule is added in the instance NSG rules to allow ALL traffic from your local machine.
