Hello, I am having difficulty getting licensing to work on my machine. 

I am hosting the license locally on my machine with hostname and disc serial number. 

When I try to start the Flexnet server, I get the following error. 

Additionally, I get a blank popup window here when I try to run the licensing interconnect.

Hi Bjorn,

Please share the screenshot of your license file, first 5-6 lines and on Ansys License Manager did you upload your license file through "Add a license file" option and then click on View status/start/stop license maanger -->start Send screenshot of "Get system Hostid Information" too.

Hi Bjorn,

Please confirm if License Manager is up and running I don't see any green check mark on your LM.

Also, can you please escalate this case through your Ansys Account Manager, just mention my name Rajeshwari Jadhav, it will also us to view your logs via mail.

I confirmed that the license manager was running with the green check and when I opened up Workbench I see this. Also, in my account manager, it says that I am unable to open cases.

Launch Ansys Licensing Settings 2023R2 and shared web licensing should be off and feature in use option should show all increments.

Under web licensing Shared is off right?

Also set the following Environment Variable –

Go to START > ‘Edit the System Environment Variables’ > click Environment Variables.

 

Under the System Variables, please click NEW and create a new variable.

 

Variable Name – ANSYSLMD_LICENSE_FILE

Variable Value – 1055@BEP15

Web licensing Shared was on, but I turned it off. I also made a new system environment variable that you said and nothing changed.

Go to C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\Shared Files\Licensing open ansyslmd.ini file remove shared web licenisng line and save it, you can share screenshot to be sure.

In start menu type %appdata% and delete Ansys folder, same way delete .ansys folder type %temp%.

I deleted the appdata and temp folders, but am having difficulties saving the edits to the ini file. I get the following message after trying to save the ini file changes.

Save it to the document first then you can move it to  C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\Shared Files\Licensing folder, it will be replaced.

Sorry for the delayed response! School for busy for a little bit. I was able to complete those steps successfully, what should I do next?
