Hi everyone, I am performing a static structural simulation on a single cylinder engine in ANSYS 19.1 I tried to use the Gasket linear unloading data already present in ansys along with the tensile strength and density values. But I keep getting the error: L2 norm of forces overflowed. I even tried the PRED OFF command as suggested by ansys and the Birth/death of elements using the 'ekill and eallive' commands. Even then the simulation does not run. Do I need to chnage the material modell somehow or make some more changes in my simulation set up.Â
Kind regards

Hi Subhav,
It sounds like the Newton-Raphson residual is increasing to a value that is too large to record, might be an ill conditioned problem? Can you plot the residual force distribution from the previous iterations to try to see where the source of trouble might be in the model?
