SubscriberHi everyone,Â
I'm using Workbench Ls-Dyna and I would like to plot the result reaction force of a contact between a plane (modelled as rigid body) and an object (modelled with beams). I need the reaction force acting in the normal direction relative to the plane surface, which is not aligned with the Global Coordinate System. Is there a way to indicate it?
Thank you in advance,Â
Camilla

Ansys EmployeeI can't help you with the WB side of things, but the pertinent keyword in LS-DYNA is *DATABASE_BINARY_INTFOR.  See the User's Manual for syntax.  Also, set the print flag for the rigid side of the contact to 1 (either the 7th or 8th field of Card 1 in *CONTACT).  Lastly, include "s=intfor" on the LS-DYNA execution line.  This will create an "intfor" database that when postprocessed with LS-PrePost, will allow you to plot contact force normal to the surface.
