      how to prescribe an inlet velocity varying in space and time in Fluent?


      any references?

      you can use udf. 


      check following tutorial which has time varying udf.

      Actually I have got variation in both space and time

      Hello,


      As mentioned by Keyur, you will need to use a UDF to do this. Please refer to Fluent Customization manual for details. There are numerous examples on how to use UDFs to pass a velocity profile to Fluent. You will need to use DEFINE_PROFILE macro for this. Here is an example from the Customization Manual.

      yes, it can be combined in single udf.
