SubscriberI am attempting to create a simple wireless power transfer simulation in Electronics Desktop, following this tutorial. I created the coil and terminals, united them to make them one body, and assigned excitations going in for one terminal and out for the other. When I attempt to assign a matrix parameter to run the simulation and calculate the mutual inductance, I get this error:

Note that the error for the polyline in the message manager can be ignored as that is an error for another, hidden coil that has no excitations applied to it. What does this error mean and why am I getting it?

Forum ModeratorHi Mason Jacob,
I cannot open the links on this open forum. So, I can not see how you have assigned the excitation.
Make sure both the terminals are toucing flat to the region surface and then assign the in and out currents to the terminals. Coil ends not perpendicular to the region surface and not touching the region will cause this error.

SubscriberHi Navya,
Thank you so much for your reponse. I understand now that the ends of the terminals must be touching the region surface. In this case my region is the box representing the water medium, and to make sure the ends touch the face of the box I created another box region next to the water region and subtracted that from the terminals, which cut them to the exact size. This video explains how to do it quite nicely. I am now able to assign the parameter matrix.
