How can I import a .SAT file?

Hi, I imported a ACIS file into ANSYS DesignModeler. But it come out failed and said: "You have exceeded the allowable geometry limits for ANSYS Academic. You cannot Save or Export. "

So what is the maximum limits can I have? Also, is it mean that I can still undergoes structural analysis but cannot save a soft copy.

      Or any solutions?

The Student license limits for geometry are 300 faces and/or 50 bodies.

Go back to the original CAD system and reduce the number of faces and/or bodies until you meet this limit.

Thanks. How can I reduce the bodies? Do you mean to delete part of my structure? My structure is a 3 layers of steel frame with concrete slab.

Yes, you have to remove faces until it is < 300 total if you have a Student license.

Does your structure have a plane of symmetry?  If so, you can cut the model in half and use a symmetry region to support the structure. That could reduce a lot of faces.

Do all the edges of the steel have a small blend?  If so, you can delete all the small blends.
