Using user subroutine with Autodyn – Version Issue

      hi there,

I am currently using autodyn version 18.1 and plan to implement a subroutine.

The manual states that "Microsfot Visual C++ 2012" and "Intel Fortran 15.0.2" are required, but it seems difficult to install those versions at the moment.

Would it be okay to use the latest versions of Visual Studio and Fortran without any issues?

      Thanks and best regards,

Our recommendation is using the exact version of MS C++ and Intel FORTRAN mentioned in our manual. Each ANSYS release may require different version of MS C++ and Intel FORTRAN to compile Autodyn User Subroutines. This is to ensure the compatibility between the user-created Autodyn User Executable and the static & dynamic libraries in existing Autodyn installation.

Once you obtain the licenses to download the current MS V++ and Intel FORTRAN programs. You can search their download center or email their tech support to get the MS V++ and Intel FORTRAN programs with the specified version or release.

        Thanks for your kind response.

As an additional question, I'm curious if "Microsoft Visual Studio 2012" and "Intel oneAPI" can be integrated with each other.

I'm a bit confused about whether I need to match the "Microsoft Visual Studio version" or the "Intel Fortran compiler version" for subroutines

        Thanks and best regards,

Yes, exactly match on versions is recommended.
