SubscriberI’m simulating a liquid-particle turbulent system with the Eulerian-Eulerian KTGF method. The turbulent properties are calculated by the k-e per phase model.Â
In the Fluent Theory Guide, the equations for the Eulerian-Eulerian KTGF method are given in laminar limits, including continuity equations for the liquid and solid phases (Eq. 14.180), linear momentum balance equations for the liquid (Eq. 14.176) and solid (14.182) phases, and the granular temperature equation for the solid phase (Eq. 14.350). Note that the stress tensors (tau_e and tau_s) are not related to the turbulent stress in these equations.
When the turbulent part is activated. As we know, theoretically, in the linear momentum equations, the turbulent stress tensors should be introduced. For the liquid phase, the turbulent stress tensors (tau_e') is calculated by Eq. 14.382. For the solid phase, if we use the k-e per phase model, the solid phase is also considered as a continuous phase. Will Eq. 14.382 also be used to calculate the solid phase trubulent stress tensor (tau_s') and then introduce it to the solid phase linear momentum equation?
Besides, as we see in the granular temperature equation shown in Eq. 14.351, the first term on the right-hand side contains tau_s. In turbulent regimes, will the solid phase turbulent stress tensor be introduced?

SubscriberThanks for your reply.
I refer to Fluent Theory Guide 22R1. I've studied the part you provided before. But this part doesn't illustrate whether the solid phase turbulent stress is included in the linear momentum balance equation and granular temperature equation.
