Hello,
For my final project, I am working on a vibrating beam.
On the left side of the beam where the hole is, i have added a boundary condition roational force. Then I have two cylindrical supports, one on the left and one on the right. This makes the beam vibrate at a certain frequency shown in the figure. Now i would like to know how much force the hammer causes on the other side of the beam. can this be measured in Ansys?
See the picture for more info.
Thank you in Advance!

Hello Robbe,
Probes serve as a great way to measure the entities like force reaction, energy, displacement, etc. They can be scoped to a contact, surface, remote point, etc.
You can also verify the same by hand calculations if possible or use an energy probe and calculate the force accordingly with a user-defined result.
Please check the following reference for more details - Structural Probes (ansys.com)Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Sahil

Thank you for the information, but i can't use a probe in the harmonic response.

Hello Robbe,
Since the outputs of the harmonic response are mainly the frequency and phase response, please check if the following links are helpful in getting the required results.
