SubscriberHello,
I am basically faing the issue with proper meshing for 3D-Litz wire in Maxwell.
I used the following mesh settings:
As you can see in the above image, mesh quality is actually good at the bends. However, it is not meshing properly on the straight curvilinear surface and on the cross-sectional faces of the wires. I hv also tried meshing with skin depth but it does not seems to be work out. Any inputs for this problem would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Ansys EmployeeHello Vedant,
The Surface Approximation mesh operation allows you to control the mesh element size on the surface of the object. If I look the “bad” mesh, I can see that you are pointing the inner part of the cable. So, to control the mesh element size inside the object you should use the Inside Selection/Length Based mesh operation (see image below). I would suggest combining both mesh operations in order to get a “good” mesh. Ivonne

SubscriberHello Ivonne,
I actually tried meshing with inside selection. However, it does not seem to work. Is there any way by which I can send you the model? Would it be possible for you to have a look at it?
Thanks!
