Ansys EmployeeSet the output interval for d3plot (*DATABASE_BINARY_D3PLOT) so you're getting no more than 100 output states. You may get by with even fewer states. To get higher resolution for subsets of elements, nodes, or parts, you can using elout, nodout, and d3part output files, respectively. Secondly, if you're running a double precision version of LS-DYNA, you can cut d3plot data from 64-bit to 32-bit by setting the environment variable LSTC_BINARY to 32ieee (or equivalently, setting IBINARY=1 in *DATABASE_FORMAT). Thirdly, *DATABASE_EXTENT_BINARY has several flags for controlling content of d3plot and you can employ those flags to reduce volume of d3plot output.-
