Hi I am getting an error while doing EM analysis in E-magnetic model.
 Failed to Create Optimised Mesh
Some error found in GenerateBndI am using the default mesh settings. I even tried adding mesh size as small as 0.01. It still does not work.
The same file was running fine earlier
Any input will be helpful.

AshishÂ

Hi Ashish,
Can you try to reduce the default Min Point Separation setting in EMag -> Input Data -> Settings -> Calculation page to 0.001 or 0.0001?
When you mention it was working fine earlier, do you mean with the same or a different Motor-CAD version?
Let me knpw.
Best

Hi, I tried decreasing the minimum separation point. It does not help.
I am using version 2023.
I have run this file earlier ( 2 months back) in the same version. It was working fine. I used EM, lab and thermal module.
I want to redo some simulations to get more results. But it gives me the above error.
Does the motorCAD file corrupt sometime?
Please let me know if you need any more details.
Thank youÂ

Hi , I found the error. There is a duplicate rotor geometry. It worked fine after removing that. Not sure how it happened. It was working fine earlier.
Thank you.

Hi,
I was about to ask whether you were using a custom geometry or whether you edited the geometry in the FEA Editor (through scripting or not).
I'm glad you found the issue, and thanks for letting me know.
Feel free to contact us again if needed.
Best regards,
Nicolas Rivière
