SubscriberIs there any way to create a dielectric mixture of two materials in HFSS?ÂFor example, I have two frequency-dependent materials defined by their permittivity and loss tangent. I would like to combine the materials so that I have one material that is a certain ratio of material A and material B. This essentially creates an effective permittivity for the two materials. Ideally, I would be able to change and sweep across the ratio of the two materials in my simulation.ÂPlease let me know if you have any suggestions. Thank you! -

Ansys EmployeeHi Ally,
It is not possible to combine two materials in Ansys HFSS. However, if you have some measured data for the final material after mixing, then you can assign those properties to a custom material inside Ansys HFSS which you can use for the simulation. Also, you can assign project variables to the material properties in Ansys HFSS which you can parameterize to get the desired response.
All the very best.
